Matone Qy8 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones review 2023 Good headphones or earbuds make working out, running, or listening to music more enjoyable, therefore I’m constantly looking for a pair that doesn’t interfere with my exercise or jog.
Many evaluations of the finest Bluetooth headphones for working out say that quality depends on price. Paying extra for the finest Bluetooth headphones for working out makes you happy. Unless you mind paying extra. Some are incredibly pricey.
I don’t know why Matone changed the name of their QY8 Bluetooth headphones to QY7! It may be a Q7 update. I bought these since the specs said they were wireless and sweatproof at such a cheap price. Why not? What’s worst? They surprised me.
Most individuals worry about sweating when exercising with headphones. This has plagued me most of my life. Until a buddy recommended the Matone QY7 earphones.
What are they like for working out with?
When I sweat or exercise, most headphones or earbuds that I’ve used in the past fall out of my ears. Because of the perspiration, the earphones keep falling out of your ears. The Matone QY7 headphones aren’t like that at all. This pair of earphones is sweat-proof and stays in your ears thanks to its ergonomic design. These earphones have done a respectable job of remaining in my ears during the whole of my vigorous exercise and extended jogs.
Superior sound with active noise cancellation
It seems like some workouts go on forever. It may seem as though every potential interruption to your exercise is actively working against you. You can’t beat noise-canceling headphones when you need some quiet time to yourself.
Considering the rock-bottom pricing of these Matone headphones, I’m not holding my breath for noise cancellation on par with the Bose QC20. but if you’re going to provide it, make sure it’s valuable. Honestly, they do a respectable job. These little Matone QY7s don’t provide total isolation, but they do make a significant improvement over the status quo.
For me, it’s all about that bass. Those enormous woofers are too bulky for me to transport anywhere. I’ve thrown away a ton of cash on headphones and earbuds that didn’t provide a true bass experience. Their typical tone is that of inane drums. The bass in the Matone Q8s is respectable. They won’t blow your mind, but for the price, you won’t find greater bass anywhere else.
While I mostly use my headphones and earbuds for listening to music, I also find that they come in handy when I need to make a phone conversation. With these earphones, I have no trouble hearing the speaker. Earbuds designed for music listening often do not function effectively when used for phone conversations. For this purpose, however, the Matone QY7s meet all of my expectations.
Connectivity
In theory, modern gadgets should be intuitive and simple to use. Even though I consider myself to be a rather proficient gadget user, I had to put in some effort to master the Matone Q8 connection.
Thanks to the handbook, everything worked out well. To be honest, I’d rather not read the whole handbook. Consequently, the Q8 earphones still have considerable room for development in this respect. The lighting was the only thing left for me to figure out. As soon as they are paired with an electronic device, the earphones change color to a bright blue.
The fact that the Matone Q8 earbuds remember which devices you’ve already linked with is one of the features I loved most about their connection. If you switch on Bluetooth, they will immediately connect to your device and pair with it. While exploring the functions, I learned that the Matone Q8 earphones support simultaneous connections to two devices.
Range
While everything else was excellent, I was disappointed by the limited scope of the available connections. The greatest distance that you may be connected with the Matone QY7 earphones is 10m… If I move so much as an inch, the signal will drop and the song will end. Having a wider range of communication would have been ideal for me. When I’m working on my computer, I usually have some tunes playing in the background.
Because the earphones won’t stay connected if I go all the way to the kitchen to get a drink of water. These headphones would be ideal if they had a wider connection range.
Adjusting the volume and cycling through songs
The Matone Qy7 offers volume up/down controls much like any other headphone. The controls are standard fare, nothing unique there. All the buttons have little bumps on them instead of smooth surfaces. The one-bump button lowers the level, while the two-bump button raises the volume. The bump readings work well for me since they allow me to adjust the volume without having to look at the controls.
Alternate between songs with a simple double-press of these buttons. Clicking the volume up button will go to the next track while clicking it down will skip to the previous one. For the time being, that is all I can report about my observations on the Matone Qy8 controls.
Timekeeping for batteries
Since I’m always on the move, I find the short battery life of these devices to be really frustrating. There isn’t much downtime for me to plug in my phones and tablets. The Matone Q8 earbuds’ near-7-hour battery life was a big plus for me. After arriving home from work, I plug them in to charge, and they stay on all day long. We consider this a major benefit. My prior earphones gave me a lot of trouble since they ran out of juice after just an hour. Being able to track down the Matone Q8s has made my day.
As a bonus, I like how simple it is to charge them. I just sync them up to my computer, iPad, or phone and they charge while I work. The Matone Qy7 earbuds are fantastic since they charge quickly and have a long battery life.
Style and degree of coziness
If you’re looking for a good example of a poor earbud design, go no further. I’ve encountered several that were so irritating that my earphones gave me a headache after just 30 minutes of use. But what I’ve seen about the Matone Q8s is that these earbuds are not so fashionable but they are undoubtedly pleasant for the ears. Even after hours of use, these headphones have not caused any discomfort to my ears.
It’s a good thing that the corporation has concentrated more on comfortability and less on trendy looks. For this price, you shouldn’t be expecting too much of a fashionable and elegant product. It seems fine. The construction might need some improvement, but you can’t expect perfection at this cheap.
Incompatibility between Devices
I despise being trapped between two gadgets from different manufacturers that refuse to communicate with one another. There’s this situation between Apple and Samsung, for example, where Apple won’t let its products connect by Bluetooth or any other direct connection method with Samsung devices. The Matone Q8 headphones work with a wide variety of different brands and gadgets, which is a huge plus.
Any Bluetooth-enabled device, including LED TVs, smartphones, and tablets. All three of these systems supported my earphones without a hitch when I tested them. Whether I’m using my iPhone or my Galaxy Tab, I no longer need to worry about being connected.

Conclusion
Based on my evaluation, I would give the Matone Q8 four out of five stars. The capabilities are good, but not ideal. But I think it’s a fair trade given the value I received.
It seems to reason that if their quality improves, so will their price. The Matone Qy7s are a great pair of budget earbuds that perform well, particularly for use in the gym.
